Third win in a row for the Belles!

Mayfair Belles returned this month to the 2nd Division at Waterloo with much anticipation and surely a glimmer of hope that we won’t have to return each week, with another loss under our belt as we too frequently did in our plight for division 1.
Thankfully, we have had a storming start to the season with 3 out of 3 wins!!! Hopefully, this is perceived as more of a reflection that our skills as netballers have vastly improved as opposed to the fact that our opponents are.. er… not quite as good as division 1 standard!
Week 1 saw the Belles beat The SouthBank Sharks 15- 7, with Emily taking player of the match! Week 2, we survived a week without our star player Emily, were even a player short and still managed to beat the City Shooters 8- 4…..
Last night we were up against TMS tornadoes, where we convincingly beat them 26 – 10- leaving The Mayfair Belles leaders at the top of the table!
So, a promising start to Division 2. True to form as Kate said in her last blog, we hopefully do indeed have a much brighter, warmer few months ahead to look forward to. Well done girls, keep it up. I’m sure it won’t be too long before we are perhaps back in the beloved Division 1…!
We now head into a 2 week break, returning mid July.
