Roger is a consultant adviser to the firm. He retired from full-time practice in 1996 after 24 years as a partner in various predecessor firms to PwC.
He has served as a non-executive director of a number of companies. He joined the London office of Deloitte, Plender, Griffith & Co in 1963 becoming a partner in 1973. From 1980 to 1983, he was based in the firm’s New York office with special responsibilities for the quality of service given to the firm's British firms in America. While in the United States he co-authorised the firm’s publication entitled “The difference between Accounting Practices in the United Kingdom and the United States.”
With a background in business assurance and audit, his clients have included major multinational companies across a wide range of business sectors. He has been a member of various Institute working parties including the one responsible for the ICAEW publication on “The Role of Non Executive Directors.”
