Robert McCann
Partner
Robert became a partner with the firm in 2003 and helps clients with both outsourcing and business assurance.
He qualified as a chartered accountant in 1989 with a four-partner firm in Dublin. In 1990 he joined Coopers & Lybrand, a predecessor firm of PwC, in London where he worked across a range of business sectors and industries. During this time, he also built up a portfolio of overseas banking clients in the UK.
Robert's client portfolio at WY includes a large number of asset backed securitisation vehicles which have been originated by the major investment banks. He also has a number of long standing international clients with pan-European operations.
Before joining us, Robert was a Director with PwC and played a significant role in developing their practices in Bulgaria and Slovenia. His responsibilities included the co-ordination and management of international assignments (including a number privatisation initiatives across the major industry sectors), implementation of global procedures and risk management initiatives, staff training and development.
Robert also had a significant role in the privatisation of banking sectors in a number of Eastern European countries. He also led a prestigious assignment to convert Bulgarian accounting standards and banking regulations to international best practice. Robert has wide experience in audit, due diligence and specialist knowledge of international accounting standards.
