E-Accounting

We are receiving an increasing number of requests from clients to provide a service which gives them access to their Accounting Package via our website, which has prompted us to provide a solution.

Through our website it is possible to allow, via password protected access, confidential and secure access to a live Sage Line 50 system.

What is E-Accounting?

A business can now have ‘real time’ involvement with their accountants without having to visit their premises.  We can be closer to our clients and provide higher value services with a faster turn around time. In addition you will not need to acquire the software as you will have access to a web-based software system.

We can offer you either: 

  • A simple means of accessing or interrogating your accounting records at any time 

or

  • The ability to work simultaneously with us on updating your accounting records. You may choose to carry out the basic accounting tasks in-house and use us solely to complete the more technical aspects of monthly accounting.

Access is provided by using familiar Windows based software within a web page with the facility to run Sage Line 50, Sage Payroll, Microsoft Office and others, using just a web browser. The software does not therefore run on your computer and does not require your power or capacity to run the applications. For more sophisticated needs we can consider the use of microsoft Navision or other specialist online software.

What are the Advantages?

  • We can offer a flexible outsourced accounting service where the client can undertake as much or as little work as required.  Some clients are happy just to have access to view without actual processing.  
  • People in different locations can work on the same data with the same software simultaneously. This is particularly useful for accounting software where emailing data files is often undesirable and can create problems because of size or security.  
  • The Accountant and client can both access the same software simultaneously; for example, the client may wish to raise all the sales invoices and post cash received.  The accountant can then maintain the balance of all the other aspects, always working with ‘live up to the minute data’ with complete visibility afforded to the client.   Businesses with multiple locations can easily share data, using this facility to work on the same data simultaneously.  

The cost for the service depends on the software you wish to use on a monthly pay-as-you-go basis.
